Rider experiences

Tell us what the law looked like on the ground

allowed.bike publishes the law from primary sources. But the law in practice—how it’s enforced, what a stop or a citation actually looked like—is something only riders can tell us. If you’ve lived one of those moments, share it here.

01 / How this works

Your account is read by a person, and it is never law

Anecdotes are context, not citations. Nothing you send is published as law—the cited answers on this site stay separate, and always will.

Every submission goes to us for review before anything appears on the site. If we publish an account, it lands in a clearly-marked “What riders report” section on that state’s page—labelled a rider anecdote, kept apart from the statute-cited claims, and never presented as the law. Most fields are optional; the more detail you can give, the more useful it is.
